AUCKLAND: Pakistan will play against either Australia or New Zealand if the Green-Shirts would qualify for the quarter final of World Cup.
That’s right if Pakistan is able to qualify for the quarter final of the tournament then they would face host Australia or undefeated New Zealand.
Australia are most likely to be opponent of Pakistan team because of their 2nd position  on Pool A points table while the Green-Shirts are of third place of the points table.
If Pakistan manage to beat Ireland with big margin then they will be able to face slightly lighter opponent Bangladesh or Sri Lanka.
Form Pool A the quarter final line up already completed as New Zealand leading the points table with Australia and Bangladesh following up with seven points while Sri Lanka  are on fourth spot.
Interestingly all these teams have to play their last match in the tournament.
On the other hand from pool B, defending champions India are through to the quarter final while Pakistan, South Africa and Ireland are in strong position to qualify for the next round.
