World Cup warm-up: Pakistan beat England by 4 wickets

SYDNEY: Misbah’s responsible batting helped Pakistan to chase down the 250 runs target comfortably against England in 2nd and final warm-up match for both teams played at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Wednesday.

Misbah-ul Haq has scored a brilliant half century as Pakistan managed to chase down the 250 runs total successfully after three years.

Misbah scored unbeaten 91 runs while Umar Akmal scored outstanding 65 making it easy for Sohaib Maqsood to wrap up the game for the Green-Shirts with four wickets remaining. Sohaib scored 20 runs

Stuart Broad and James Anderson picked up two wickets for England.

Earlier, toss went in England’s way as English side posted a decent total of 250 runs on the board.

Joe Root scored tremendous half century to keep on the score board ticking for England after middle order failure. He scored outstanding 85 runs.

Gray Ballance scored a half century as well. He made 57 facing 81 deliveries. England made 250 runs on loss of 8 wickets. Pakistan have rested the main fast bowler Mohammad Irfan in the match.

Yasir Shah picked up three wickets while Sohail Khan managed to strike twice for the Green-Shirts. Pakistan need 252 runs to win
