PM to address joint session of Kashmir council, AJK assembly in Muzaffarabad

ISLAMABAD: Federal minister for Kashmir and Gigit-Baltistan affairs , Chaudhry Muhammad Barjees Tahir has said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will address the joint session of the Kashmir council and Azad Kashmir assembly in Muzaffarabad AJK today (Thursday).

 
He said that February 5 (today) will be observed as Kashmir solidarity day for expressing solidarity with the Kashmiris.
Chaudhry Muhammad Barjees Tahir was expressing these views while addressing the press conference in Islamabad on Wednesday.

He said that Kashmir issue is the issue of life and death for Pakistan, saying that they cannot ignore this issue at any cost. He said that the purpose of creation of Pakistan will not be fulfilled unless the Kashmir issue is resolved.
Barjees Tahir said that India invaded on October 27, 1948 and attempted to usurp the Jammu and Kashmir the area having 77 percent Muslim population. He demanded that the Kashmir issue should be resolved through conducting plebiscite.
He said that president of United States (US) Barack Obama violated the stance of the US by supporting India for becoming member of the Security Council.
Barjees Tahir said that India, the slaughterer of human beings, is not eligible for becoming a member of the Security Council at nay cost.
He said that Kashmir issue is the most longstanding issue on the agenda of the United Nations (UN). He said that Indian media does not lose any opportunity of spreading propaganda against Pakistan.
Barjees Tahir said that as many as 100,000 Kashmiris have been martyred since 1989, saying that February 5 will be observed as the Day for expressing solidarity with the Kashmiris. He said that Pakistani media should fully highlight the struggle of the Kashmiris, saying that Pakistani nation stands with the Kashmiris.
He said that the former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto observed the Kashmir solidarity day for the first time in 1975.
