MUMBAI: Priyanka Chopra, the female superstar from India, is coming to American television screens via ABC, with a new deal that has the network creating content especially for her.
The 32 year old has a laundry list of titles from singer, Bollywood movie star, TV host, philanthropist, columnist, UNICEF ambassador, former Miss World and model.
The female star will spend three months at Los Angeles to complete her shooting with ABC television studio.
The makers of the ABC studio will provide a customized Villa to Priynaka Chopra and pay her 25 caroor.
Talking with an Indian Channel, Chopra said it was an exciting opportunity to “sit with the brightest minds in global television” and have them offer to work around her already busy schedule in India, to see if they can come up with something that works.
“I’ve been a longtime fan of ABC shows and an admirer of how the network has changed the landscape of TV through the diversity of their lead characters”, Chopra said in a statement. “To follow in the footsteps of game-changers like Sofia Vergara, Kerry Washington and Eva Longoria is a matter of pride for me. I am looking forward to this endeavor”, she said.
Priyanka Chopra is a huge movie star of India, appearing in over 45 films, garnering several awards, and is one of Bollywood’s highest paid actresses.
