LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Siraj ul Haq said that there was cemetery like silence in the Houses of Islamic countries on the matter of blasphemous caricatures, adding that inter-religious harmony and dialogue is necessary for the global peace.
JI Ameer, during his address in Mansoora Mosque Lahore, highly criticized the silence of Muslim world on the matter of blasphemy. He said that the rulers of Muslim countries stand up for the sanctity of Holy Prophet rather than showing loyalty to west and America.
He said that incidents like blasphemy against Holy Prophet PBUH and burning Holy Quran are the events to destroy the peace in the world, and even human rights organizations including United Nations did not raise their voices against such worse terrorism.
Siraj further said that inter-religious harmony and dialogue is necessary for the global peace. He urged all religions must play their role to declare blasphemy of prophets and burning of holy Quran as global crime.
