PM decides to change Governor Punjab Mohammad Sarwar

LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday decided to change Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar, Express News reported.

According to the report, the PM has taken notice of the statement that the Governor Punjab Muhammad Sarwar had given on Tuesday.

In his statement the Governor Punjab had criticized Pakistan Foreign Office over United States (US) President Barack Obama’s recent visit to India and declared it a failure of Pakistan’s foreign policy.

But Chaudhry Muhmmad Sarwar claimed he had already resigned from his post. Sources said that he had sent his resignation on Wednesday-Thursday night to President Mamnoon Hussain.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government had appointed Sarwar as Governor Punjab in August 2013.
