SYDNEY: Pakistan star all rounder Yasir Arafat helps Perth Scorchers to defend their Big Bash League title successfully against Sydney Sixers, as Scorchers successfully chased down 148 with four wickets remaining on Wednesday.
Australian legend Brett Lee who was playing his last match almost had match won for his team in the last over when he was defending a run with six wickets remaining for Scorchers.
Lee bowled superb last over as he bowled Nathan Coulter-Nile and Sam Whiteman in successive delivers of the over with a bawl remaining in the over.
Arafat snicks a single of hattrick delivery of Lee to earn a victory over Sixers.
Shaun Marsh led the chase with 77 runs with Michael Klinger playing a handy knock of 33. Lee picked up three wickets in his last match of the career.
Earlier, Sixers posted a respectable total of 147 runs on the board thanks to Moises Henriques’ 77 with Ryan Carters adding 35 runs to the total.
