KARACHI: K-Electric has signed two agreements with China Machinery Engineering Company (CMEC), the K-Electric spokesman said on Tuesday.
As per the agreement two power plant of capacity 350 mw will be installed, the spokesman informed the media in its statement.
The electricity supply from the both power plants will be started from December 2018, the K-Electric spokesman added.
The spokesman further added that it will add 700 mw in the system which will help overcome increasing power demand in the metropolis.
It is also pertinent to mention here that the company agreement with the federal government of 650 mw had ended on January 25.
The Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif has said that the government will sign new agreement with the company on new terms and conditions.
