One of the most popular instant messaging apps in the world, WhatsApp, no more in mood to dent their popularity by unauthorized third-party apps as the Facebook-owned service issued ‘cease-and-desist’ notice to WhatsApp Plus.
Facebook-owned WhatsApp issued notices at least one notice to WhatsApp+ denting popularity level of official service via its range of add-ons for more customizations, Mashable reported on Thursday.
Citing the notice, a WhatsApp+ spokesman announced on Wednesday that the official WhatsApp+ community was shutting down ‘for good’ by end of the day after receiving warnings from WhatsApp.
However, the crackdown started after one claims that the third-party services cannot be trusted with user information, as well as planning for more ‘aggressive action’ against unauthorised apps, WhatsApp confirmed TechCrunch.
The things have not done here, as WhatsApp also imposing temporary ban on its users usually last 24 hours with an countdown counter.
It should be mentioned here that the third-party app WhatsApp Plus version 6.72 discovered more customisations with five new features including Emoticons, Privacy, Unlimited File Sharing, New Themes-Customisation and Appearances as compare to simple WhatsApp application
