Aitzaz Ahsan makes fun of Metro Bus Projects amid fuel shortage

LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party leader Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan Friday held the Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif led government responsible for a terrible dearth of petroleum oil (POL) products.

“The rulers have fallen into the clutches of petroleum lobby,” Aitzaz told during an interview with a private TV channel. In the next breath, he called the Punjab government to carpet for its overambitious transport projects.

“What should I say about a government that can’t provide petroleum products to the consumers but is hell-bent on running fuel-guzzling metro buses,” the well-spoken barrister said hitting both the Sharif brothers with one stony statement.

Aitzaz Ahsan said that after power and gas shortfall, this fuel shortage was another gift to the nation from this incompetent incumbent government.

“The unavailability of fuel in Punjab is a wanton act of criminal negligence on part of concerned authorities that are controlled by the federal government,” the PPP leader further said.
