ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has approved inclusion of 24 political and non political personalities in the party from different cities of the country.
PTI joining committee meeting was held in the chair of deputy chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Islamabad, local newspaper reported on Thursday.
The meeting approved joining of 24 political and non political figures in the party including former federal minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML- Q) leader Nilofar Bakhtiar.
Sources said that the meeting was attended by committee members, secretary general Jehangir Tareen, additional secretary general Saif Ullah Niazi, Amir Kiani and the party president of North, Central and West Punjab branches of the party.
The meeting has reviewed names of personalities who showed willingness to join the party and approved 24 figures from Attock, Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Gunjranwala, Shiekhupura, Okara, Sahiwal and others districts of the Punjab.
The joining committee has also given responsibility to North, West and Central Punjab presidents to contact 24 personalities and settled matters pertaining to their joining in the party.
After the approval of Chairman Imran Khan the new peoples inclusion in the party will be announced in phase wise.
