Indian involvement in terrorism to be raised on international level: Khwaja Asif

ISLAMABAD: Federal Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that the issue regarding involvement of India in terrorism will be raised on the international level.

 
Khawaja Asif said that India wants to keep Pakistan busy with skirmishes on the eastern border so that the country remains distracted from the war on its western borders and the terrorism within.
Federal Defence Minister that India was helping terrorist groups in Pakistan to carry out “heinous acts”.The minister said that India “has designs on Pakistan”.

“The Taliban have links with India. Also, India’s involvement in the insurgency in Balochistan cannot be ignored,” he said.
He said that issue regarding involvement of India in terrorism will be raised on the international level.
To a question, he stated that his allegations were based as much on conviction as on experience.
The Defence Minister said that India was helping terror groups in country after India rejected Pakistan’s claim that it was carrying out “attacks” from Afghanistan.
“The Taliban have links with India. Also, India’s involvement in the insurgency in Balochistan cannot be ignored,” Asif alleged.
When asked to provide evidence for his accusation, the Minister proceeded to claim that “a low intensity war was underway”.
He said that his allegations were based “as much on conviction as on experience.”
Talking about the military courts, Khawaja Asif said that parliament made amendment in the constitution, saying that no pressure was exerted by army.
He said that military courts have been established only for two years, saying that further decision will be made after the two years in view of the circumstances and this will also be taken by the parliament.
Khawaja Asif was expressing these views in an interview with a private TV channel.
