PESHAWAR: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Monday has reached Army Public School (APS), ISPR reported.
According to Director General Inter Services of Public Relations (DG-ISPR) Asim Bajwa, General Raheel Sharif has reached APS where he was received by parents and children of the school.
COAS met parents and children and raised their spirits.
Following Peshawar attack on December 16 on an Army-run school that killed over 150 people including 134 students, reopening of schools and other educational institutions were delayed after winter vacation.
Owing to security concerns, the winter vacations were extended till January 12 so that adequate security arrangements could be taken at schools and educations institutions before reopening.
