5 police personnel including two SHOs killed in Mirpur Khas in fire exchange with dacoits

MIRPUR KHAS: As many as five police personnel, including two Station House Officers (SHOs), lost their lives while five others got injured in exchange of fire with dacoits in Mirpur Khas on Saturday.

According to SSP Irfan Baloch, three notorious dacoits were also killed in the shootout in Mehmoodabad areas.

He said police force from 12 police stations of Hyderabad, Mirpukhas, Tando Allayar and Matiari was taking part in the encounter.

The dacoits killed were involved in 50 to 60 cases, many of kidnapping for ransom, said  DIG Operations Hyderabad Sanaullah Abbasi.

Abbasi said those dacoits killed in the encounter included Chhotoo Narejo and Qurban Narejo, carrying Rs 1 million head money each.
