ISLAMABAD: Mufti Saeed, who administered Nikah (marriage contract) of PTI chief Imran Khan with anchorperson Reham Khan, officially announced the marriage on behalf of the newly-wed couple.
Talking to media persons outside Imran Khan’s Bani Gala residence, Mufti Saeed said that Imran Khan had asked him to inform the media waiting outside the house on his behalf that he had formally tied the knot with Reham Khan.
Mufti Saeed said that one lakh rupees was fixed as Mehar. He added that Awn Chaudhry and Zakir Khan acted as witnesses on behalf of Imran Khan.
When media asked whether Imran’s sisters attended his wedding ceremony, Mufti Saeed replied that some women attended the Nikah ceremony but he did not recognize her sisters.
He further said that the Nikah was solemnized in a simple and low-profile ceremony, where no political figures participated.
