Fazlul Rehman shows Karachi enmity, Taliban support: MQM

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) coordination committee alleged that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman showed his enmity to Karachi and support for Taliban insurgent.

MQM coordination committee lodged its protests against JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman who strongly opposed 21st constitutional amendment to establish military courts in the country.

Member of Rabita Committee, Qamar Mansoor, while addressing a press conference in MQM Headquarter ’90’ alleged that Fazlur Rehman tried to dent national unity against terrorism by showing ‘biased mindset’. He added that Fazlur Rehman was feared for accountability of Taliban insurgents in the country.

He alleged that Fazlur Rehman involved in treason against hundreds of martyrs of military men who sacrificed for the national security. Qamar Mansoor said that the JUI-F chief should answer about the attackers of polio teams and his resources of fundings.

Altaf Hussain uncovered signs of hypocrites by quoting Holy Quran verses during his last public speech, Mansoor said. Fazlur Rehman has proved their hypocrisy  via his recent moves, he added.

Women were not allowed to cast votes in the stronghold areas of Fazlur Rehman led religio-political party Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F), he claimed.

While clarifying MQM’s stance for his jailed activists, Qamar Mansoor said that MQM has already clarified their stance regarding Saulat Mirza and Ajmal Pahari. Saulat Mirza captivated since last 15 years and he was pronounced various penalties in only one case while Mirza’s mercy appeal was under consideration, Mansoor claimed.
