Phillip Hughes death: Australia ready for emotional Sydney Test against India

SYDNEY: Australia all set to give another farewell to late Phillip Hughes, as Aussies all set to take on India in fourth and the last Test match of the series played at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) from Tuesday.

This is the same ground where Philip Hughes had got injured when he miss judged the bouncer bowled by Sean Abbott which hit on back of his head and he died after staying in coma for two days on November 27 in 2013 playing a domestic cricket match.

Following his tragic death, SCG ground staff retired the pitch while Australian Cricket Board also retires his shirt number 64.

This will be the first international match on his ground after the death of Philip Hughes and it could not be any more emotional for Australian team playing on the same ground where their team mate got injured and lost his life.

Australian Skipper Michael Clarke who ruled out of the series due to hamstring injury in first test and team coach Darren Lehmann visited the ground late on January 5 weeping at side of the pitch.

The team is also planning to present another farewell to their team mate Philip Hughes. Steven Smith also hoped to win the series 3-0.

It is pertinent to mention here that Australia already leading the series 2-0 while 3rd match of the series had been dawn.

M.S Dhoni also took the retirement from Test cricket while he will not play the 4th Test. Kohli will lead the Indian side in the 4th Test.
