Is PTI all set for another sit-in?

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is once again expected to resume their protest if government allegedly kept dragging its feet over setting up a judicial commission to investigate alleged rigging in the general elections.

PTI has hinted at resuming the protest in a press conference on Wednesday, where party’s once again  restored their harsh tone against the government which had been quite since December 16.


The party has disapprove Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for imposing additional General Sales Tax on petroleum products without seeking parliament’s approval.

PTI vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi said the party’s chief Imran Khan was disappointed over the government’s resistance to form a fully empowered inquisitorial judicial commission for audit of the elections.

Shah Mehmood said that PTI core committee would meet on Jan 6 to review the situation.

He told that he have met the PTI chairman. Imran is quite disappointed over the government’s response to our flexibility which PTI have displayed over the past couple of weeks.

In replay to the question about sit-in Shah Mahmood said that all options will be considered in the core committee meeting.
