MELBOURNE: Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has announced his retirement from Test cricket following the draw in 3rd Test match of four Test-match series.
According to reports, young cricketer Virat Kohli will lead the Indian side in the fourth test match of the series.
MS Dhoni remained unbeaten on 24 runs in his last inning of Test career saving his side from losing the third match.
Dhoni so far played 90 matches for India and scored 4876 runs at an average of 38.09 runs per innings, he smashed six centuries and 33 half centuries for India.
He is the only captain to lift every trophy of International Cricket Council (ICC). He is also the skipper the of Indian side who lifted the world cup 2011 as well as last ICC Champions Trophy.
Dhoni also won the first ICC Twenty20 World Cup.
Earlier, Dhoni missed out the 1st Test match of the series due to injury in which Virat Kohli led the side which India lost as well despite the valiant attempt of their skipper.
