KARACHI: Pakistan star all-rounder Shahid Afridi has decided not to participate in the Pentangular cup, which starts from December 31.
According to reports, middle order batsman Asad Shafiq will replace the all-rounder in the tournament.
Asad Shafriq will represent Sindh Knights in the tournament to be played at National Stadium Karachi.
The tournament was originally planned to be held in Multan but the PCB was forced to shift it because of unpleasant weather.

The competition opens with Sindh Knights taking on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Fighters.
The other participating outfits are Punjab Badshahs, Balochistan Warriors and Federal United.
The organisers have decided to give the event a break next Sunday (Jan 4) because of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi celebrations.
After 10 preliminary round matches, the tournament winds up on Jan 11 with the final between the top two teams in the standings.
