KARACHI: Pakistan’s uprising leg-spinner Yasir Shah said he wants to become the magician like Australian legend Shane Warne.
Yasir Shah who made his impressive debut against Australia in 2014 in the absence of Saeed Ajmal and continued his devastating bowling against New Zealand has said that he want to make Australia and New Zealand World Cup memorable.
He said Shane Warne is his role model and he wants to become magician like Australian legend.
Yasir Shah who also made up to One Day International squad against New Zealand but didn’t got the opportunity there.
According to reports, Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq and head coach Waqar Younis have stopped him from playing in One-Day against New Zealand because they are eyeing to introduce him in World Cup as a surprise package.
Selectors also considering him with Shahid Afridi who is playing his last World Cup as a surprise combination in the mega event.
According to sources privy to team selection process the members of Pakistan World Cup squad might be: Misbah Ul Haq (skipper), Shahid Afridi, Mohammad Irfan, Saeed Ajmal (or Yasir Shah), Ahmed Shahzad, Anwar Ali, Sarfaraz Ahmed (wicketkeeper), Umar Akmal (or Karman Akmal), Shoib Malik, Mohammad Hafeez, Haris Sohail, Junaid Khan, Sohail Tanvir, Bilawal Bhatti, Younis Khan.
