Google celebrates Christmas with Doodle

WASHINGTON: As Jewish all over the world celebrate Christmas, search engine giant Google has celebrated the annual event with its famous Doodle.

Since December 16 each day Google uploads a new doodle with different looks giving the glimpse of winter as well as Christmas.

Since 16 December, Jewish people have been observing Hunukkah, or the Festival of Lights, which lasts for eight days.

By lighting eight candles over the course of the holiday, Jews commemorate the rededication of the Temple in 165 BC by the Maccabees after its alleged desecration by the Syrians.
