KARACHI: After a long disappearance from political scenarios, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) central leader Sherry Rehman appeared on Karachi streets where she led a public rally to show solidarity with victims of Peshawar school carnage.
Sherry Rehman-led public rally was organised on New M.A. Jinnah road of the metropolis on Tuesday that was participated by a large number of citizens including women and children.
While addressing the participants, Sherry Rehman said that PPP would take any measure to stop terrorism with public power. Some participants were seen raising slogan against terrorism during her speech.
PPP leader rejected claims regarding emergence of internal conflicts in the political party. She clarified that PPP was united and whole senior leadership would gather at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh – Naudero on December 27 during death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto (Late).
The PPP central leader and former Pakistani Ambassador to the US had vanished from all political scenarios in Pakistan after allegedly receiving life threats after proposing a bill to reform the nation’s strict blasphemy laws.
