LHC postpones execution of five civilians  

RAWALPINDI: Lahore High Court Rawalpindi bench has stayed the execution of five civilian criminals scheduled at Kot Lakhpat Jail on Monday (today).

According to reports, a military court had ordered to execute five criminals over different charges and Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif had also signed the death warrants.

Advocate Laiq Khan Swati told the court that the criminals were not given the opportunity to hire a lawyer and that the charges on them were not disclosed.

The court stayed the execution of Ahsan Azeem, Asif Idris, Omar Nadeem, Kamran Aslam and Amir Yousf.
