PESHAWAR: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday announced that the all parties’ conference (APC) constituted a committee headed by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan would work out National Plan of Action to counter and root out the menace of terrorism from t he country.
The prime minister accompanied by political leadership of the country including Imran Khan and other heads of national political parties briefed media about the decisions of the APC.
He said that the committee will be comprised by a member from each party having representation in the Parliament and representatives of armed forces.
The Prime Minister said that Army had gained considerable successes in the ongoing military operation Zarb-e-Azb. He declared that there would be no policy of good Taliban and bad Taliban.He called for national unity to counter the menace of terrorism.
Nawaz said that Peshawar massacre was the gravest national tragedy.
PTI chief Imran Khan also underlined the need of national unity at the critical juncture of its history. He said that he had no difference with the government over the security situation.
On the occasion he also explained his complaints about rigging in last general election and demand for constitution of judicial commission to probe the rigging. To a question he said that he would go straight away to D-Chowk Islamabad, where they would offer absentia funeral prayers of Peshawar martyrs. “There we will decide after consultation with party leaders the future line of action,” he declared.
