PESHAWAR: Prime Minister Nawaz Shairf on Tuesday convened a meeting of the heads of all national political parties in Peshawar to discuss the existential threat of terrorism in the wake of the barbaric attack on an Army Public School in Peshawar.
The meeting will be held at Governor’s House Peshawar, where national political leadership will discuss ways and mean to root out the menace of terrorism and joint line of action to face the challenge.
The Prime Minister directed Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Information Minister Pervez Rashid to contact political leadership of the country and invited them to the meeting.
Sources said that the Prime Minister wanted to take the national leadership into confidence regarding the ongoing military operation so that  national ownership could be given to the anti-militancy operation.
It is to be mentioned here that at least 130 people including about 100 school children were shot dead by six to eight militants, who stormed Army Public School Warsak Road, Peshawar at 11:00 am on Tuesday.
The Army commandos are still engaged in search and clearance operation at the school and have so far killed five of the attackers.
