MQM, ST workers targeted in Karachi

KARACHI: At least three political workers belonging to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Sunni Tehreek (ST) were targeted in different incidents by unidentified criminals in Karachi on Thursday night.

The incidents took place in two different spots including Jamshed Town and Mehmoodabad areas with variation of few minutes respectively in the metropolis.

Unidentified assailants gunned down MQM worker in Chanesar Goth neighbourhood of Jamshed Town area, who was identified as Abdul Qadir.

Deceased Abdul Qadri was reportedly member of MQM’s rural committee in Karachi.

Meanwhile, two Sunni Tehreek (ST) workers sustained serious injured in heavy firing carried out by unidentified criminals in Mehmoodabad area.

Both workers were attending an occasion of Fatiha Khawani in the area, police said.

The injured workers were shifted to nearby hospital in serious condition.
