Pele leaves clinic after recovering from kidney infection

SAO PAULO, Brazil: The Brazilian football legend Pele has been declared well enough to leave Sao Paulo clinic after recovering from serious urinary infection which left him in intensive care for about two weeks.

Pele, while addressing a press conference at Albert Einstein hospital, joked that he planned to play from Brazil in upcoming Rio de Janeiro Olympics in 2016 after recovering health issues followed by severe kidney infection.

The 74-year-old and three-time World-Cup winner was seen smiling broadly despite walking cautious and clearly lost weight during his tough ailment period, foreign news agency reported.

“I am preparing for the Olympics! Three professionals can play in the Olympics. I’m one of the three!” the football legend said.

Pele thanked his fans across the World by saying that he was very touched to receive messages from China, Pakistan, countries across Europe as he didn’t know why so many people were keeping abreast of my situation.

He also expressed gratitute to the Brazilians which always supported him in any situation.
