Abdul Sattar Edhi holds ‘begging walk’

KARACHI: Social worker Abdul Sattar Edhi staged a walk for collection of donation named as ‘begging walk’ on Wednesday.

The walk started from Tower area of Karachi to Numaish Chowrangi and people of the city showed generosity for the cause  as people open heatedly donated in the drive.

Abdul Sattar Edhi said that his charity welfare institution was faced with difficulties due to lack of donations so he decided to walk for running of its institution along with orphan children.

At the occasion lot of people gave him amount ranging from 100 to 5000 rupees.

Traffic police have taken special arrangements for walk which did not disturb traffic flow on the road.  Two mobiles were also deployed for the walk security.
