No one to be allowed to take law in their own hands: Shahbaz

LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday said no one would be allowed to take law in their hands as its government’s prime responsibility to safeguard lives of the citizens.

The CM called a meeting in Lahore to review overall law and order situation of the province and the shut down call given by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Addressing the meeting CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif advised to strictly deal with the ones taking law in their own hands.
He instructed that all necessary measures must be taken in order to ensure protection of traders’ fraternity, adding that no one would be allowed to shutdown businesses forcibly.
He said the lives and property of the people would be protected at all costs. Chief Minister directed the police authorities to take indiscriminate action against the people who will try to shutdown business forcibly.
The meeting was attended by State Minister for Water and Power Chaudhry Abid Sher Ali, Hamza Shabaz Sharif, Zaeen Hussain Qadri, Rana Sanaullah Khan, chief secretary Punjab, Inspector General of Police Mushtaq Ahmed Sukhera and others.
