PESHAWAR: Chief Minister of Khyber Patkhtunkhwa (KP) Pervez Khattak has revealed that the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar advised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to continue sit-ins in order to keep the federal government under pressure.
CM Pervez Khattak made the revelation while talking to a private news channel, Express News’ programme ‘Takrar’, via telephone on Friday.
Khattak said that the interior minister Chaudhry Nisar was contacted by PTI before August 14 in which he favoured the political party against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
He said that it would be a shameful thing to expose Nisar’s thoughts for PM Nawaz Sharif.
Chaudhry Nisar had said that Nawaz Sharif seemingly took power to run business but not a government, Khattak claimed.
Hence, Nisar advised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership to continue anti-government movement in full pace via sit-ins in order to pressurise Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N)-led government.
