LONDON: After Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, now Manuel Neuer has joined the party to be crowned the world’s best player, as short list of Ballon d’Or finalised.
The shortlist includes top three in the sports right now as German goal keeper Manuel Neuer, Portuguese captain Cristiano Ronaldo and Argentinean skipper Lionel Messi.
Neuer is the strong contender to claim the award due to his outstanding goal keeping in the FIFA World Cup 2014 while Ronaldo has the current UEFA Champions league medal for his name and Messi is satisfied with four-time winner of the award from 2009 to 2012.
Ronaldo also won in 2008 when he played for Manchester United. Final ceremony will take place in Zurich on January 12.
