SUKKUR: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUIF) on Monday announced to hold countrywide protest against the murder of its senior leader Dr Khalid Mehmood Soomro in Sukkur.
JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman while addressing a press conference in Sukkur said that Soomro’s killing was a tragedy.
He said that government should acknowledge its failure to protect life and property of the citizen so that people would make arrangements for their protection on their own.
He said that assassination of prominent personalities and making political people hapless before terrorists and gun-wielding gangs was a conspiracy to pack up democracy in the country.
He thanked people of the country for their support to JUI-F’s strike call against Dr Soomro’s killing.
