JUI-F protests: Peshawar-Islamabad motorway blocked

PESHAWAR: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) workers and supporters have staged protest and sit-ins in different cities of Pakistan following the murder of party’s senior leader Khalid Mahmood Soomro, TheNewsTribe.com reported on Saturday.

The JUI-F workers gathered on Peshawar-Islamabad motorway and interrupted transport by placing bricks on the road while few protestors have stopped a train going to Chaman from Quetta.

They demanded that the authorities order a probe into the incident and arrest the culprits at the earliest.

Khalid Mahmood Soomro was gunned down after Fajr prayers on Saturday.

Earlier JUI-F called for strike and country wide protest against the killing of their senior leader on Saturday.
