Two more children die in Mithi, Chachro

THARPARKAR: Two more children died in Mithi and Chachro on Wednesday due to malnutrition.

Earlier in the day three children were died with latest death today’s death toll reached five.

As many as 131 children have been died for 51 days in Tharparkar.

Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday directed the provincial government to take serious steps to ensure an end to drought-related deaths in Tharparkar in the hearing of a suo motu case on the deaths caused by the calamity, a report on the issue was presented before the bench.

Session judge Umer Kot has prepared the report on the SHC instructions.

The report stated that so far 240 people have died as a result of malnutrition and thirst, with most of the victims being below the age of five.
