CJP constitutes larger bench to hearing PM disqualification case

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Nasirul Mulk on Wednesday constituted a seven-member larger bench of the apex court to hear identical petitions seeking disqualification of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif .

According to TheNewsTribe.com correspondent, a seven-judge bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Nasirul Mulk will resume hearing of the identical petitions moved by PML-Q president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, seeking disqualification of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for allegedly making false statement regarding Pakistan Army’s mediation in the ongoing political crisis.

Earlier, a three-member bench headed by Justice Jawwad S Khawaja  heard the petition filed under article 62 and 63 and recommended it to the CJP for constitution of a larger bench.
