LAHORE: Opposition Leader in Senate Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan has said that Imran Khan’s Larkana rally was impressive that should be acknowledged.
Talking to newsmen, the senior PPP leader said that PTI managed to stage a big show in Larkana that should be acknowledged and accepted by everyone. However, the senior politician opined that Imran could not bring any change through the public meetings.
He said that if the PTI’s scheduled grand show for Nov 30 turned violent it would benefit the third force. In that case, Imran would be held responsible for any supra-constitutional steps, he added.
Aitzaz said that if the rally remained peaceful then it would be under discussion for not more than three days in media and its impact would wither within days.
Regarding the special court decision in high treason case of Pervez Musharraf, he said that the decision would prolong the case.
He added that prolonging the matter would benefit both the government and General Pervez Musharraf. He said that with inclusion of more accused in the case, the testimonies would be recorded afresh.
To a question about Thar, Aitzaz said that Sindh government should take notice of the situation.
