Cold, dry weather likely to increase in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has recorded the temperature of coldest places during the last 24 hours in which Skardu and Quetta -5.0°C, Kalat and Hunza -3.0°C, Gilgit -2.0°C, Chitral, Gupis and Kalam -1.0°C, respectively.

The cold and dry weather is expected in the country during the next twelve hours. However, partly cloudy weather conditions with light rain (light snow-fall over the hills) is expected at isolated places in Gilgit-Baltistan during the next 48 hours.

Temperature of some major cities recorded on Tuesday morning:

Islamabad 6 degree centigrade, Lahore 11,  Karachi 20, Peshawar 8, Quetta and Gilgit  -1 and Murree 4 degree centigrade.
