Imran meets injured PTI workers in Jhelum hospital

JHELUM: Keeping his promise made during his Jhelum address, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Sunday reached District Civil Hospital to inquire about the condition of injured party workers.


Imran Khan had promised to meet injured PTI activists before leaving for D-Chowk Islamabad.

PTI chief demanded that the authorities arrest the attackers.

Eight workers of the political party got injured when they were on their way to Syed Zamir Jafri Stadium to attend PTI’s public gathering.

One of the injured was shifted to Rawalpindi for special medical treatment in view of his severe injuries.

Police department claimed to arrest three persons accused in firing on PTI rally in Jhelum and filed case in Sadar policestation, reports said.

According to reports, security guards of former Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MPA Nadeem Khadim were also amongst the accused in the case.

On the other hand, MPA Nadeem Khadim claimed that his security guards retaliated over attack carried out by PTI workers.

During the visit, Imran Khan was accompanied by central and provincial leadership while he left the hospital without meeting the reporters.
