DUBAI: Pakistan’s skipper Misbah Ul Haq jumped into the top-ten batsmen list of Tests issued by International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday (today) after his remarkable performance against Australia.
Misbah rose to the eighth spot from 11th having scored centuries in both innings of their second test against Australia in Abu Dhabi.
Younis Khan climbed to the sixth place from seventh thanks to his double century in the first innings of the test. Younis played tremendously against Australia, striking three consecutive centuries in the two-match series.
Misbah Ul Haq leveled the fastest test century record of Viv Richards by scoring his 100 off just 56 balls. Besides, he broke the fastest Test 50 record of Jack Kallis as he reached the fifty off just 21 balls. Kallis had scored his fifty off 24 balls.
