Govt cut petroleum prices owing to PTI struggle: Imran

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has declared that the cut in petroleum prices was the result of the party’s sit-in.

The PTI chief was delivering speech in D-Chowk sit-in on Friday and demanded the government to reduce fuel prices further.

Imran said that he was giving the government until November 30 to reduce electricity prices as well.

He said that the government would have never taken knife to the petroleum prices had PTI not been staging a protest sit-in.

Imran said that the Nilofer cyclone turned away, but the biggest storm in the history of Pakistan is to come on November 30.

The PTI head said that to end corruption from the country the duo of status quo politics Nawaz and Zardari needed to be end.

The PTI chief urged all the Pakistanis to mount pressure on the government, in order to change the unjust system of the country.

He criticized Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam and it’s leaders for using derogatory words for women adding that its example can never be witnessed anywhere.

Imran  also announced to remain offstage on Monday and Tuesday in view of Ashura and from tomorrow (Saturday) sit-in will start at 6.00 pm.

Imran announced that not to deliver speeches from tomorrow (Saturday) in respect of Muharram ul Haram.
