MADRID: World famous footballer and Portuguese skipper Cristiano Ronaldo in a strong position to become first £100 Million footballer.
Cristiano Ronaldo on Monday dominated the Spanish Professional Football League (LFP) Gala Awards for the 2013-14 season by claiming three awards.
He won best player, best forward and best goal award in La Liga at the ceremony at Madrid which makes him in a strong position to become first £100 Million footballer in the history of the game.
In 2013 Gareth Bale signed for Real Madrid which was a historic moment, with Bale’s move equalling that of Cristiano Ronaldo as the largest transfer in football history.
However, the fee remained short of what would have been a landmark figure at £100 million.
The question is, then, when will that record be broken and which will be the player whose transfer sets a new milestone in the history of the game.
