Ahsan Iqbal reply causes uproar in Senate

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal on Tuesday stirred a protest in Senate by opposition lawmakers when he responded a question raised by Pakistan Muslim League-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain.

During Question Hour in Senate, Shujaat asked how many people will travel through the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Bus project.

Responding the PML-Q chief’s question, Federal Minister for Planning and Development said that so many people would travel through the bus project that would be enough for confiscating the guarantees of the opponents.

The reply caused uproar in the House as Opposition lawmakers raised objection to the reply, saying that the ministers should take the question seriously.

Aitzaz Ahsan said that the minister should take the house proceeding seriously.
