ISLAMABAD: Despite Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) announcement to wrap up its D-Chowk sit-in, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is unshaken in its stance to continue with the sit-in till the resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif .
On Tuesday, PAT wrapped up its sit-in camp at D-Chowk as the party chief asked his followers to pack their camp and go home. Analysts view the development as a blow to PTI’s sit-in politics, arguing that now PTI has no other option but to wrap up its sit-in sooner or later.
Both parties began their sit-ins on August 14 in federal capital Islamabad. PAT and PTI were committed to continue their respective sit-ins till Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif resign.
But the PTI leadership seemed unmoved by the latest development as PTI chief Imran Khan while addressing his supporter at D-Chowk on Tuesday announced to continue with the sit-in until the prime ministers is resigned.
