ISLAMABAD: Security agencies have speed up investigation into the threats given to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leaders by banned outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
The security agencies had started the investigation into the matter on the instructions of federal government.
The security organizations have got initial information regarding the matter and eight mobile numbers information have been collected.
According to the security organizations the mobile numbers have been closed for one month and last time these numbers were used in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Karachi.
The security organizations have informed a influential federal minister regarding initial investigation.
The MQM leaders were received threatening letters, sms and calls from banned outfit TTP.
It is pertinent to mention here that MQM leader Baber Ghouri had met with Finance Minister Ishaq Dar last week and expressed his reservation over threats to MQM leaders.
