Imran Khan supports ARY News, raps govt for license suspension

ISLAMABAD: As ARY news license has been suspended by Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman has termed the regulatory body’s action as arbitrary and unacceptable .

The PTI chairman not only backed banned ARTY News programme “Khara Sach” host Mubashir Luqman, but also lashed out at what he said corrupt government’s attempt  to silence ARY.

He further said that government could not not hide the truth by such arbitrary action. He said: “PEMRA actions is arbitrary and unacceptable.”

Earlier, PEMRA banned ARY News programme “Khara Sach” host Mubashir Luqman on Lahore High Court’s (LHC) order for doing program against the judiciary and later suspended the license of the channel for 15 day on the same charges.
