KARACHI: Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) ministers and advisers have submitted their resignations to Governor Sindh Ishrat-ul-Ibad and Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah on October 20, Monday.
MQM leader Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hassan submitted all the resignations of ministers and advisers.
Now MQM will sit on opposition benches in Sindh Assembly.
“All political parties held their shows and PPP also did that in Karachi,” said Hassan, while talking to media after submitting the resignations.
“It is not a big achievement to hold public meetings in Karachi. PPP should hold its public gathering in Lyari,” Hassan said.
“MQM would raise its sound against local government bill if the bill was against the expectations of public,” Hassad added.
Talking to media, Faisal Sabzwari said that MQM reacted only when “our Quaid was targeted in an uncivilized manner. Quota system of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto divided Sindh into two parts,” Faisal said.
“We did not give any strong statement,” Faisal said.
