PPP’s Raza Rabbani announces fight with govt over privatisation

KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Senator Raza Rabbani said that PPP was not supporting the government, but it was only supporting  democracy and the constitution.

The party senator was addressing a  huge rally in Karachi at Bagh-e-Jinnah on Saturday.

Raza said that  his party was yet to fight a war with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on the issue of privatization of state institutions.

The Opposition Leader  in National Assembly (NA) Khursheed Shah said that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto would bring about the real revolution in the country. He added that  sacrifices, not sit-ins, can bring about revolution.

Praising the former president Asif Zardari, he said that he ensured autonomy to the provinces through the 18th Amendment.

The Opposition Leader said that PPP leaders sacrificed  their lives, but never made any compromise on democracy.
