Khursheed Shah apologizes over disputed statement

KARACHI: Opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) and senior leader of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP)  Khursheed Shah on Saturday apologized over his statement regarding “Muhajirs,”  saying that though his statement was taken out of context, yet he withdrew it.

Earlier, MQM strongly reacted to his statement wherein he had stated that Urdu-speaking people of the province should not use Mohajir as they are also Pakistanis and Sindhis.

The MQM leader Hyder Abbas Rizvi along with other party leaders in its press conference which was held at the party press conference hall in Azizabad, had demanded apology and withdrawal of the PPP leader statement.

The PPP leader showed positive attitude and withdrew statement before ending of the MQM press conference.
