SOUTHAMPTON: World’s largest cruise ship Oasis Of The Seas arrived in UK for the first time on Wednesday.
The ship worth £800m was welcomed by the crowd of hundreds and helicopters circling overhead.
Oasis Of The Seas has the capacity of 5,400 passengers and 2,394 crew members. It weigh 225,282 tonnes and 1,187ft longer than London’s The Shard.
The ship is 208ft wide, larger than the wingspan of a Boeing 747. Passengers will be boarding all afternoon and it leaves Southampton for Vigo, Spain, and Fort Lauderale, Florida.
It has rock-climbing walls, basketball courts and mini-golf court onboard. The ship also have a park inside and a pool.
